Cataloging helps you build and maintain your textbook database. In the Catalog, you can add and update, import and export, enhance and delete textbook records. You can also manage your copy records.

There are three types of title records:

• Main Entries: Your primary textbook titles used by your students for classes
• Teacher's Editions: Special editions published with additional information for teachers on the content and concepts of the textbook
• Kits: Any additional items distributed to the patron or classroom, such as a lab kit or a study guide

Each one can have multiple copy records. In addition, kits can have defined components.

The important thing to know is that you must add a main entry record before you can add any copies, teacher's editions, or kits to the collection. All copies, teacher's editions, and kits are referenced by their main entry.
