Reading Program Quiz Information

If your library participates in the Accelerated Reader™ or Scholastic Reading Counts!® program, or both, you can enter the quiz information here or in the MARC Editor.

To let your students limit their searches by reading level and point value in Library Search in the Catalog, select the appropriate Quiz/Level Based Searches... option in Back Office > Site Configuration.

1. Select the reading program from the list.
2. Add a point value, reading level, interest level, and the quiz number.
   A point value and reading level are required.
3. If you are a district cataloger, select the school that owns the quiz.
4. Click Save when you are done.

If you add the Quiz Number, the reading program information appears in the Quiz Info section of Title Details.

Because libraries in the district share title records, but have their own copy records and reading programs, Destiny ensures that the information appears appropriately for all the patrons in the district. Destiny adds a subfield 5 to each 526 field and the Study Program Note, containing the Short Name of the site cataloging this information or owning the quiz.

You can remove 526 tags from your collection in one operation in Catalog > Update Titles > Delete Tags sub-tab.
